Family Room Makeover

The goal for this project was to create a comfortable space to enjoy family time, movies, and general media.

The customer wanted a comfortable space, able to accomodate their large family, as well as a decorated space that felt minimal at the same time.

To provide great comfort and accomodate a large family, we selected a large sofa, made of soft italian leather. Large enough to fit the family and versatile enough to maintain it without headaches. We removed the existing carpet and replaced with hardwood flooring and chose a warm and inviting area rug.

To decorate the space without clutter, we selected a large board and batten wall above the fireplace. This allowed us to implement a natural element in the family room, without adding clutter. Having all the natural light exposure in this room called for a simple contrast, the dark blue color is a great touch of visual captivation.
